To provide ongoing support to the sales department through sourcing and generating new sales leads and opportunities.
* Provide inside sales support to the Major Account Executives, assist by providing information preparing material and or reports for their use
* Provide specialized support to Key Accounts (as identified)
* Provide spot pricing based upon criteria (as defined)
* Participate and support the sales department in the growth and generation of new sales activity and maintenance of existing accounts
* With company support and training, be proficient in prospecting new opportunities for all Core companies and/or services
* Conduct eighty (80) cold calls and information gathering per week, based on various industry publications, while providing information, to area Sales Managers for follow up
* Book/confirm a minimum of five (5) appointments per week for the Major Account Executives
* Complete a daily sales activity summary and forward to Director of Sales
* Follow up on new account holders, with respect to rates, air waybills and contact information
* Monitor and track "special cargo" shipments as required
* Other duties as assigned *Computer skills including but not limited to MS-Office. (i.e. Word, Excel & Power Point)
* Highly motivated and results oriented
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
* High School Education with a minimum of 1-2 years relevant work experience.
