MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deals effectively and efficiently with all customers, clients and suppliers in ensuring optimum service at all times.
• Runs pick lists to ensure all products are available on the floor at least one day prior to the scheduled vessel closing date.
• Co-ordinates overseas shipping details with shipping department/planning/international services (which items to fill container with, which to load first, backorders, etc.).
• Ensures all relevant information is received and then entered order into BaaN. Confirms order to customer. Ensures the ship date will meet the required arrival date to the client. Follows up and expedites orders with special requirements, informs clients of details and requests further information to be forwarded to internal personnel as required.
• Processes all types of changes (ship date, quantity, ship method, etc.) and informs/negotiates with internal personnel. Confirms changes with customer.
• Creates and maintains fax/e-mail order forms for customers.
• Creates and maintains order processing documents to ensure all contact information and customer special requests are up-to-date.
• Informs clients of backorders and negotiates with production & purchasing for better revised ship date and expediting of the required raw materials.
• Co-ordinates new product development requests and new uses for the existing products being purchased. Provides technical information from clients to lab personnel on these requests.
• Co-ordinates requests from clients and sales representatives for specifications sheets.
• Attends monthly client service meetings
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
• Specialized training in a recognized Community College program (3 year Community College Program or equivalent).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & TRAINING REQUIREMENT:
• More than 1 year, but less than 2 years
